SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD IDENTIFICATION AND CREATION (SLIC)
Our SLIC program, uniquely designed based on USAID/Guinea Youth Situational Analysis (2020) and Factors that Allow a Group of Young Guineans to Find or Create Decent Employment (S. Mansare 2019), addresses Guinean youth's primary aspirations: to gain or create decent jobs that will improve their livelihoods.
Our program is a collaborative effort where our dedicated staff works closely with cohorts of youth. Together, we introduce them to factors that allow a group of youth to create decent employment in Guinea, the principles of economic life, basic accounting, Gaelle Chanson's 32 Conseils pour Mieux Gerer Ses Biens (32 Pieces of Advice for Better Managing Resources), and practical business ideas for sub-Saharan Africa. Once they choose their business idea, we and our partners guide each participant in designing their entrepreneurial business.
Through fundraising campaigns, we directly showcase the businesses of our SLIC participants. This approach allows donors to fund projects that align with their interests, with 100% of the donated funds directly allocated to the chosen projects, ensuring maximum impact.
We provide structured one-on-one coaching to our entrepreneurs to help them develop the necessary strategies for sustainable success in their ventures. This activity ensures that they effectively utilize the donors' funds to make a difference in their community.
